Why Bali?

A great remote-working infrastructure

Bali provides the perfect balance between work and play, and already enjoys a reputation as a world-class hub for remote workers. There’s a well established digital nomad and start-up ecosystem, now increasingly being enjoyed by employees who are no longer tethered to their desks. You can expect affordable living and outstanding co-working facilities, from casual coworking cafés and restaurants, to tailor-made private spaces with meeting rooms and flexible membership options.

Incredible natural surroundings

From the mighty Mount Batur caldera and its lake in the northeast, to the spellbinding underwater life off the coast of the Nusa Islands in the south, Bali is full of different and equally enchanting natural landscapes. You could spend your week working amidst a backdrop of palm-fringed beaches (real, rather than virtual!) and then head off on the weekend to discover sprawling paddy fields, lush rainforests and tranquil coastal villages. Outdoor enthusiasts can spend their downtime canyoning or mountain biking, or enjoying one of many water sports including diving, rafting and – of course – surfing.

Rich heritage and culture

Bali is a deeply spiritual place and most Balinese people adhere to a particular form of Hinduism, which emphasizes the soul and spirit in all creatures, places and things and draws on the traditions of the island. The destination is known the world over for its wide range of health and wellness experiences and retreats. Bali’s indigenous culture is unique and can be experienced in special sites such as the Besakih Temple complex, and in everyday interactions, like enjoying local specialties babi guling (roast pork with crackling served with rice and soup) and sticky-sweet batun bedil, a rice dumpling dessert.
