Follow the footsteps of your favorite Les Miserables characters through charming and historic Parisian neighborhoods: with my passionate narration, it's as if we’ll see Marius and Cosette falling in love in the Luxembourg garden...the ABC club fighting on the barricade...Jean Valjean running from one neighborhood to another to escape Javert ...Thénardier roaming the sewers.

I promise you we don't roam the sewers but we otherwise dive deep into the Paris of Hugo's most famous novel.

Weaving through Paris' backstreets--both the chic and the gritty--we immerse ourselves in Victor Hugo’s life and see where the lines between literature and real life blurred...and even outright exploded.

I'll regale you with interesting insights about how his work provoked and shamed the literary and political institutions of the time (from the French Academy to the National Assembly) with lasting effects on Paris..from Notre Dame to even the Parisian sewers!

From Paris' most-notable gardens and buildings to seemingly random streets with shocking histories, enjoy a guided romp through the Paris of Les Miserables with Victor Hugo's #1 Fan!

Adele and Valkyrie--two friends in love with Paris, are lucky to get to share it with the whole world everyday. Adele's consuming passion is Victor Hugo, and, walking the streets everyday bringing guests to the best croissants and pastries of Paris she realized how much of Victor Hugo's life--and Les Miserables--was still just waiting to be uncovered on the streets of Paris. When Adele is not romping to buttery delights with airbnb peeps, she's a literature student at the Sorbonne and researcher for the must-see of Paris

The guided tour with Adele was amazing. It felt super personalized and was very engaging. The tour took us through the story of the book as well as the story of the author Victor Hugo. It was a very enjoyable tour would definitely recommend.

Adele was warm and welcoming from the very start. At the meeting place, our small group sat and had a hot drink which allowed Adele to set the scene for our walking tour of 'the Paris of Les Miserables +Victor Hugo'. Adele's knowledge and passion are both very evident and she really inspired me to read more of Victor Hugo. I learned a lot about his life, writings and the times in France before and after Victor Hugo. I highly recommend this tour - it is great value and a wonderful experience. Thank you Adele!

Adele greeted us with great warmth in a lovely cafe by the Pantheon. There, she treated us to coffee and an excellent exposition about Victor Hugo, the novel Les Miserables, and the musical based on the book. She gave us background on the city and the author. Although I’ve read the novel and seen two versions of it in the movies, I learned so much. Adele is a real expert on the novel and on Victor Hugo. She has a real passion for the author, his work, and the city of Paris. It was a thrill to have a guide so knowledgeable about her subject. The tour took us to the Luxembourg Garden, the Ile de Cite, and the passage behind Le Procope - the restaurant wherein both the American and French revolutions had some of their genesis. Adele told us about the trials and tribulations of Victor Hugo in the context of the tumultuous history of France in middle of the nineteenth century. We loved this tour. And we would willingly take it again. Bravo to our guide, Adele!

Our group of four all agree that this tour was a highlight of our trip to Paris. Our guide, Adele, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, punctual, and friendly. We are all native English speakers and were impressed with her excellent English speaking skills. All in all, we highly recommend this unique tour.
