The best meals are home-cooked and thanks to the magic of the Internet, I will show you how to make Kenyan cuisines from scratch with ingredients and materials from your own kitchen! In this interactive experience, I will teach you how to prepare authentic kenyan cuisines all using the techniques from my family own recipe. i may be in kenya, but I will make sure you learn how to serve a delicious dinner/lunch wherever you are.

We will be having three menus in different days
1) Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
CURRY, CHAPATI, UGALI and
steamed cabbage & carrot
2) Monday
Chicken /beef/vegetable korma
Served with MUKIMO(IRIO) and steamed cabbage
3) Tuesday and Wednesday

  • 1) Vegetables: 1/4 cabbage cut into medium sizes,1 medium size carrots grated, 1 diced onion and 2 table spoon of butter or margarine or oil
  • 2) Ugali: 1 cup maize/corn flour (medium grind flour), 1 table spoon butter, salt
  • 3) Chapati: 3 cups of all purpose flour, or gluten free flour, 1 table spoon of butter, 1 table spoon of sugar, salt and oil

Josephine is amazing. We had a wonderful time cooking the most delicious curry and chapati and ugali. Josephine guides and instructed us expertly and it felt like we were in the same kitchen. The dinner was wonderful with a complexity of flavors. Do not miss this excellent experience.

Josephine was friendly and able to explain the detailed process for each recipe very clearly. The pace was comfortable, relaxed and we finished the four recipes on time. I have been to Kenya and loved the carrot-cabbage dish and chapati that I ate several times and wished I knew how to make them. So I was excited to find this experience with Josephine.

This was my second time taking a class with Josephine. She is a lovely person who will embrace you in her culture and cooking styles. This time we made a chicken curry with an aromatic biryani rice. It was so easy to follow with Josephines clear instructions and so delicious. Along with these main dishes was a salad with apples, tomatoes, onions and delicately spiced with a light savory dressing. Josephine is a true gem of an instructor and I highly recommend her class.

It was a great experience cooking with Josephine. Making new food never was so easy. She explained everything and each step of the recipe so clearly that was a brezee tho follow. It turned out so well that I'll make a staple in my most used recipies. I highly recommend this course to everybody that likes to cook!

This was my second class with Josephine. Today I made vegetable byriani and it is absolutely delicious. Josephine is a knowledgeable, patient, and skilled teacher and she is also the sort of person who makes you feel good just talking to her.
