Sparkling wine will kick us off as an aperitif. A beautiful, sweet Tokaji dessert wine will send you on your way smiling. The tasting is a fun, conversation-oriented dip into Hungary's colorful wine scene. We'll explore indigenous varietals and small-scale winemaking in our quest for excellent wine. I'm excited to share my broad wine background with you.

My life revolves around wine. When I was a kid, sommeliers always fascinated me with their fancy glass swirling and charismatic descriptions. Today, I have a small vineyard with riesling grapes close to Budapest. I started in wine back in 2006, volunteering at an amazing winery in Tokaj. That snowballed into volunteer grape projects all over Hungary. In 2008, with little money, I moved back to the US to try the commercial side of the industry. Serving drinks at wine bars, buying wine for a supermarket, and selling wine wholesale showed me the other side of a grape's journey from vine to glass.

We'll be in a beautiful 130-year-old residence from an award-winning architect. It's right in the city center, on the main pedestrian street. We have a lovely view onto an old Serbian Orthodox church. It's cozy yet elegant, a perfect place to enjoy a unique tasting
