I’ve been lucky enough to live in DC for several decades. I walk every day and would love for you to join me. We’ll find a few surprises along the way & snap some photos in the neighborhood. Teaching at Georgetown University is one of my passions. I can tell you all about the city, a different story altogether from the ones in the tour books or on the crowded buses. Let’s share coffee & a munchie, my treat. Bring your curiosity! I’ve got a few surprises for you along the way.

Georgetown is one of the most highly regarded universities in the USA. Learn all about it from an insider! We will peek inside classrooms, talk about the Jesuit commitment to education. Walk by the nearby church where JFK worshipped. See the beloved student pub, and the carbarn (streetcar headquarters), the Exorcist steps, a hip coffee bar, cross the C&O Canal to the Potomac River & the Georgetown Waterfront Park with its fountains & paths.

Wonderful, excellent experience. Lynne is very warm, friendly, and great company. She really personalized the walking tour of Georgetown to my interests. Great knowledge of the history of the university and of the Georgetown neighborhood. I learned lots of interesting historical facts and tidbits, which made me really appreciate the Georgetown area even more. Every bit of the tour was tied together very well and the tour spans the past to the present. And the pastry and drink as part of the tour is such an added value. I'm glad she has lots of options up her sleeve for pastries. I'm not much into donuts so we we stopped for our pastry and lunch at Kafe Leopold, a very cute Austrian eatery. The display case of their desserts was right up my alley! Overall, Lynne's tour is fantastic. Not only do you get your steps in, but you get a great introduction to Georgetown and experience it like a local. Highly recommend!

She truly cared about my comfort and well-being, as well as giving us a ton of great information, in a personal and memorable manner! I can't wait to hire her to give my friends and family from out of town the same, great experience.

This was a great tour of Georgetown. I had never been there before, so it gave me a good grounding in what was there and also how to get around as I was staying in the area. Lynne was incredibly knowledgeable about the University as she used to teach there and I loved learning about its history. She had very interesting tidbits about all kinds of different places that we went to see and I enjoyed her love of the area. She was very understanding when I was late and still gave me all the time to do everything. I especially loved learning about the Swedish consulate's art installations and ended up going back to spend more time there. I also loved the Dog Tag Bakery and this little Austrian cafe where we stopped for soup and coffee. Really a lovely tour and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
