X'se tagħmel

Have you ever thought how the largest market in Europe could be, in the largest square in Europe, where Baroc, Roman, contemporary architecture and street art blend with the smells of fruits, flowers, spices and cultures from all over the world? Well, then you have to get carried away on this journey to distant countries and, at the same time, very Turinese place that is Porta Palazzo and its market.

We'll see historic buildings transformed into surprising architectures, understand how Turin people used to live in the 50s and now, walk in the most multi-ethnic area of the city and appreciate the variety of modern and ancient architecture, society and contrasts of TODAY's Turin.

I recommend this tour if you want to understand the city with a 100% Turinese, graduated in art history, who knows fascinating stories and unique places that otherwise you wouldn't be able to find, with an ironic, informal style. Forget about the guides with an umbrella, their list of dates and big groups: I want to give 100% of my time and attention to everyone.

Consider me your funny (why not) art historian and LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide.

✓✓✓ Please WRITE to me BEFORE booking how many people, dates, hours, language you wish, since the tour can be in 4 languages.

I organize my tours only on request.
Possible schedule: h 11 or 12 (Mon/Fri); from 11 to 4 (Sat).

I want to provide what I look for when I travel: good places to visit, good company and good memories! Consider me your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!

I was BORN and RAISED in Turin. I studied Art restauration and am graduated in Art and Cinema History at the University of Turin. I am a teacher of Italian for foreigners and speak also English, French, Spanish, Portuguese.

In 2010 I started to work for some relocation companies that support the expats in their "new life" in Turin and for several companies that provide language tutoring.

I'll be at your complete disposal for any questions you may have about Turin/Italy: what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, language, etc.

We'll walk around the Porta Palazzo area with several stops to discuss about architecture, society and of course the market. It's not a shopping tour, but if you find something interesting to buy or taste, we can stop on the fly, no problem!

Porta Palazzo's the district with most immigration and cultural diversity: its' a small world in the city center!

I suggest joing me on the very first day, to skip all tourist traps thanks to my tips.

une très belle expérience loin des circuits habituels. on a découvert le côté historique et contemporain de Turin. les petits endroits que l'on n'aurait pas vu autrement. Melissoula notre hôte à répondu à nos questions toujours avec le sourire.
