The Garden Apartment at Thrumster House is set in 20 acres woodland and gardens . The house is situated in the ancient landscape of Caithness, rich in history and stunning scenery with cliff edged coast-line and the start of the flow country being Britain’s last real wilderness. Only half an hour from John O’groats and the Castle of Mey. 5 miles from Wick where the world famous Old Pulteney is distilled. Caithness is also famous for it’s wild brown trout fishing, the Garden apartment comes with fishing on 5 lochs. There are often archeological digs in the summer which welcome volunteers, with or without previous experience.
