App. 1,5 h drive to Preikestolen and 1 h to Kjerag starting point. 1:50 drive to city Stavanger. 20 min to Sirdal (food store). Also nice trail walks directly from the cabin. WC, shower in the entrance room. Free fishing, free use of canoe in a beautiful lake 15 min walk from cabin. Free Wi-Fi with Chromecast TV. Parking outside. New mattresses 2021.

The cabin was new in February 2017. It is modern, functional and has a panorama view, a perfect basecamp for a variety of hikes and trips in addition to relaxing around the cabin. The area offers great possibilities for fishing trout in the mountain lakes and salmon in the Bjerkreimselva, listed as one of the best salmon rivers in Norway! Try also the Kodlom lake just outside the door! In the winter season, Stavtjørn is well known for its excellent cross country and alpine skiing terrain.
