The Open Door was originally opened as a Foster home in April 1967 until the 80's, since then it's been a backpackers hostel, B&B, family home hosting many visitors throughout the past 50 years. The bedroom and kitchen are spacious areas fully equipt.

We are a fully operational sheep station offering rustic yet very comfortable shearing quarters accomodation to suit singles, couples or families. We do not have disable access facilities at this stage. Shared bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities at the quarters. Each room has its own air-conditioning. Authentic, traditional shearing quarters within walking distance to homestead and private airstrip.
