The room is the master bedroom in the 2 room cottage which is stand alone, private & exclusive within our gated premises . Each room has been individually designed leaning towards the “minimalist approach”, the design goal was on achieving the perfect balance of space, luxury and comfort. The cottage is is a combination of room "Jas" & the room "Mish". (named after my two daughters) The two spacious bedrooms on the ground floor are tastefully built like a suite. Room "Jas" has a small sitting area, dressing area and a clean modern en-suite washroom. Room "Mish" is sans the dressing area and has a smaller 32" T.V. It too also has a sitting area. Both rooms open into a portico, where one can sit the whole day and watch the beautiful snow clad Himalaya's. The verandah further extends to a 15 feet open slate paved patio. Both rooms have beautiful cedar wood super king size beds (6 1/2 ft long and 6 ft across) having orthopedic mattresses designed specially for your spine . The rooms are tastefully built. Both rooms together can comfortably accommodate 6 guests with the addition of a sofa cum futon in each room.
Location:
We are located at Sidhpur Dharamshala, India. At an altitude of about 5000 feet and are 7km/15min drive from the town centre & walking distance to several popular quaint cafe's, Norbulingka institute & some lovely trails/treks. We are a stone's throw away from the magnificent "Norbulingka Institute". Visit to this institute is an art lover's dream come true. You get to see artisans actually at work, making intricate 'thangka paintings, metal craft, traditional tibetan dresses & beautiful wood carvings'. The handicraft center, main temple & the doll museum of the institute will enthrall you for days.
The Gyuto monastery (home to the ‘Karma Pa’), Dolma ling nunnery, Thosamling, Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram, Akhanjar Mahadev temple, IndruNag (hang gliding site), the cricket stadium & Trek to Kharota are some interesting places in close vicinity that have the right amount of ecstasy to provide you with soulful comfort. We are 7kms and a 15 minute cab drive from the town centre.
As you step into the cottage it exudes:- "Space & Warmth".
Solid wooden doors, thick stone walls, The large windows that bring the lavish outdoors inside. The super king size wooden beds, the orthopedic mattress, the shower panel in room "Jas" washroom, thoughtful touches all over and you go............ "Wow"!

The rooms are a beautiful blend of old-world charm and modern comfort, devoid of urban noise and hustle. An alpine stream nearby soothes and rejuvenates your tired soul to tranquility. The home is steeped in nature, It is perfect for spending few hushed days reading, writing or just lazing around, perfect for the times when life needs a splash of lavishness.
Proceeding to the large air-conditioned (both hot & cold) bedrooms, you are greeted with wooden walls, a large super king sized bed of solid cedar wood, and vintage-inspired accessories that will transport you to a bygone era. We have recently renovated these rooms with love and meticulous care so that you: 'Our Guest' can have a relaxed holiday. Please note : Our home does not have a power back up in case of a power failure. We are offering high speed internet.
Please note in case of a power outage except for one invertor bulb in the room, the electrical fixtures including the air-conditioner does not work. We do not have a power back up.
Periodic buses ply from outside the property & a taxi stand is just 300 mtr away. We are a "drive in" for even the largest of cars, ensuring even your car is pampered with safety and security of a gated compound. Last but not the least, you do not have to climb a single step to access the room. A boon for the elderly and the differently abled.
The room offers great UN-interrupted mountain view and pristine open fields on the west side. An alpine rivulet at the rear invites you for a dip. We have made endeavors not to disturb the outside surroundings and create an Eco-system so as to resemble an UN-disturbed forest. We are home to a large bird population which add surreal beauty to the place. All this makes 'JasMish Cottages' a perfect getaway for spending few hushed days reading, writing or just lazing around. In short :- "A rejuvenating and relaxing holiday".

Food & meals:
My wife & me both are foodies and we will stimulate your taste buds with some 'Yum" Organic, Fresh & Tasty home cooked food (breakfast & dinner)which our guests love (see reviews). We just don't serve food, we shall strive to give you an unforgettable gastronomic experience served with abundant love. Please note that food is served only in the dining table in the covered verandah. Food (breakfast & Dinner) is only available if ordered in advance and is subject to our availability. We do not have provisions for packed late night dinners. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. The very reason why we prohibit food inside the rooms. Would politely request guests to comply.
Food Prices
The price you pay at Airbnb is room only. You pay for food consumed @
Breakfast is priced at Rs.250/pp while veg/non veg dinner is Rs.400/450/ pp. Snacks of all types can be pre-ordered. (Do inquire for prices)
Barbecue Dinners: These can be arranged if ordered a day in advance @ Rs.1500/ per person and typically include: A bonfire, veg & non veg snacks, fruits & veggies (All on the barbecue) followed by a normal 3-4 dish dinner.
Should you want to go out and indulge in world cuisine? The place is surrounded by great eateries. The juiciest momo's in town, the best wood fired pizza's, the finest croissants are all within walking distance.
Provision of Early Check in:
Our Check-in is at 1300 hrs, however guests can avail of an early check-in subject to availability/prior notice @ Rs.1000/ per room. In this case ,we will keep the room vacant the previous night facilitating an early check-in.

We'd love to compliment your stay in beautiful Dharamshala and will provide you with deep insights & lots of information and tips about the place.
We'll be happy to organise a dedicated sightseeing itinerary /same day hikes / overnight treks and also complete trips to Spiti and Leh/Ladakh. We specialise in organising Para gliding at Bir (considered as the world's second best site) Our pilots are highly trained and approved by the government.
