This Little house offers a comfortable and rustic experience while retreating from the hustle and bustle of life. It is located behind our cottage rental at our small homestead in the super sweet community of West Brooksville and is surrounded by gardens, woods, and wildlife. The ocean, swimming and dozens of hikes are just minutes away! Enjoy...

This hand built, timber framed, self sufficient, tiny cord wood cabin is unique in so many ways. There is a silence and a peace surrounding the cabin. The shapes, textures and sounds are very organic. Please be aware that the amenities, while beautiful and soul feeding, may not fit everyone's standard. Hot and cold running water inside the cabin, an outdoor shower with enclosure, and a primitive composting toilet just outside the cabin are a few of the simple and easy to use amenities that you will have:) . There is electricity as well as a gas cooktop for cooking and a small fridge for food storage in the kitchen. There is a small deck with a fire pit and walking trails just outside the door.

The space is minimally decorated and we have done our best to make it extra comfortable, with down pillows and a memory foam topper on the double bed. Also there is a beautiful small wood stove that warms the place quickly on chilly nights.

We are located in West Brooksville, a very special place with so much to offer.
If you dream of being in a fairy tale with a little house in the woods, than this is the place for you.

We are situated in West Brooksville, Maine. Our place is a short walk from a few farms, a beautiful brook and the world class wood fired, sourdough bakery and pizza shop, Tinder Hearth. With fresh bread, croissants, and amazing pizza enjoyed family picnic style in their beautiful gardens multiple times a week, visiting the bakery is a must. A few of the local outdoor activities include exploring the Holbrook Island Sanctuary(5 mi), the local town landing (1mi) offers swimming and a boat launch at high tide, fresh water swimming (10 min) with a great beach and numerous other hikes, trails and beaches. The drives around the coastline, the smells, the salt air, the seafood, simplicity of this area is very special.

I love to provide space for people to enjoy themselves. I enjoy swimming in the summer and being outside. I love to host and love sharing stories, knowledge and meals with people. I keep busy by chasing around my two little boys, working on our home and being with friends.

As a host I strive to be very available and am more than happy to answer questions and offer suggestions during your stay here. Many of the guests we have had here have become dear friends and we hope for many more!
