The Open Door was originally opened as a Foster home in April 1967 until the 80's, since then it's been a backpackers hostel, B&B, family home hosting many visitors throughout the past 50 years. The bedroom and kitchen are spacious areas fully equipt.

The improvements to the bedroom have made the area light and spacious. The kitchen is equipt with a stove/oven and the necessary appliances found in most kitchens.

We are your average working class family, who love the rural life
We have a Shearing Business “Tutaki Shearing” which has been operating since 2008, we are living through the drought and want nothing more than rain and a good season. In 2006 we moved into this home which operated as “The Open Door” a foster home from 1967. In 2015, after becoming empty nesters we decided to renovate the back part of the house and list with Airbnb “The Open Door”. We love to travel with Airbnb being our first choice for accommodation, we hope you find our place comfortable.
