*We are closed for the season until April 1st. However, we do open up dates for people who truly can do a primitive winter stay. Message me for more details.*

This primitive cabin nestled in the woods overlooking the Grand River is a nature-lover's paradise! Come canoe, fish, experience wine country, or unplug and just get away from it all. Please note: There is no running water or electricity at the site, but the cabin is generator-ready and there is an outhouse. See below for more details.

L-ispazju
The cabin does have a wood burning stove for heat and simple cooking, however there is no running water or electricity. That being said, the building is wired and has plugs and outlets and is generator-ready. You provide your own generator and fuel. We provide sheets, comforters, pillows, flashlights, a fire ring with cooking grate, charcoal grill (you provide the charcoal), access to firewood, and an outhouse with toilet paper. Our 1/4 mile of Grand River frontage can be accessed right outside the cabin door via a quick hike down the hillside. If hiking isn't preferred, then a quick two-minute drive will take you to the Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark - a favorite of local fishermen. Bigger groups with tents are welcome, but will need to bring all supplies beyond what we provide for 3-4 guests.

Aċċess għall-klijenti
The entire cabin and the woods surrounding it are exclusively yours during your stay. It's very secluded and private.

Affarijiet oħra li għandek tagħti kas
- Children and friendly pets are welcome, however pets MUST be house broken in order to stay inside the cabin. Please note that we have 2 outside cats and too many free-range chickens.
- The drive back to the cabin has a good base, but can get muddy during wet weather. Four-wheel drive is not necessary, but your vehicle may leave less clean than when you arrived :)
-Kitchen and cooking utensils are not provided.
-The cabin is stocked with sheets, pillows, and a basic comforter for both twin bunks and the futon, but during cooler weather, it would be wise to bring a warm sleeping bag.

The cabin is a quick two-minute drive to the Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark - a favorite among local fishermen, canoers, and kayakers. The cabin is also literally surrounded by 20 wineries and a distillery. Geneva-on-the-Lake and beautiful Lake Erie are also popular travel destinations.

Patrick is a grape-farmer and mechanical engineer, Lisa is a teacher and stay-at-home-mom. We built our cabin 18 years ago from repurposed materials when Lisa's mom was tearing down her old house. Lisa loves hospitality and Patrick loves meeting new people, so recently turning our little cabin into an airbnb just made sense. We love sharing our property with others who love nature and rustic seclusion!
