A unique country get-a-way, set in the rural countryside of W. Michigan, located between Grand Rapids and Holland. Downtown GR is a 25-30 min. drive using I-196. Holland and the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan are only 20-25 min. away. Relax in the hot tub or sit by the gas fire pit in the evenings.

We are a retired couple married for 42 years. Patti is a retired school teacher who has taught remedial reading to elementary students preK - 5th grade. Reading has always been very important to her and it is one of her favorite hobbies, especially during the winter months or summer vacations. Richard is a retired Physician Assistant who practiced Family Medicine for 42 years. His profession led us to live in Colorado, Arizona, and now Michigan. It was here where we were blessed to adopt our 2 beautiful daughters who grew up in our current home. Our oldest is a clinical Psychologist practicing in Astoria, OR while our youngest is married and lives approximately 2 miles from us. She and her husband have given us 2 handsome grandsons and a beautiful granddaughter with whom we spend as much time as possible. Since we are “empty nest-ers” now, we are excited about opening our home to old and new friends. We love working around our house especially in our flower gardens. We continue to expand our outdoor living space so we can offer a respite for those who enjoy relaxing in nature. We also enjoy collecting antiques. Wine tasting is something we have started to explore recently and are discovering the vast selection of wineries in Michigan. Our home is quiet so if you want to come and relax, this is the place. We will be here if you need us or want to visit, but we won’t intrude if you’re looking for time by yourself. Welcome!

Unfortunately we won't be doing much socializing with our guests this year. We will be available if needed but will be maintaining distancing. We are both retired, have been healthy and are limiting our contact with others for the sake of our 2 beautiful grandsons. Our home has been their designated safe spot to come play. Thank you for understanding and hopefully next year we'll be able to get to know you better!
