West coast Hideaway is an off the grid charming and self-contained cottage, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. This is perfect for a break-away destination less than 3 hrs outside of Cape Town. Whether you are planning a romantic weekend, or want to experience the local town, surf perfect uncrowded waves, fishing, windsurfing, incredible bird watching location or just experience the Atlantic ocean’s power. West coast Hideaway will cater for all your needs! This quaint cottage has no electricity and creates an unparalleled relaxed atmosphere suitable for guests who tread lightly and embrace nature.
This whitewashed cottage can sleep 2-4 adults and 2-4 children. Ideal for single family and children. The bedroom comprises a king-size bed and has a great view of the wetland area. The cottage has a 45 degree angled ladder leading to the small loft area which has a queen bed. All linen is provided. The open-plan living space comprises a kitchen and lounge area. The comfortable lounge area has a built-in fireplace and 2 single bed couches. The cottage is equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, gas stove, gas fridge and gas oven. The living area leads out to a large veranda with a braai, a large table and benches and 2 hammocks, with an uninterrupted view of the wetland The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, gas geyser and basin. There is a hot and cold outside shower (gas geyser) with a stunning view of the wetlands - shower under the west coast stars .

The pure white beaches and blue sea offers ample opportunity for sea adventures and sport. Visitors can view gannets, cormorants and seals at Bird Island, which attracts ornithologists from all over the world. Other activities include two 9-hole golf courses, 4x4 and hiking trails, whale watching (in season) and all sea activities. No visit is complete without visiting one of its famous open-air restaurants for an unforgettable traditional meal.
