We're excited to offer accommodation in a truly unique location, in our new year around cabin at the edge of the fjord. Your only neighbours are the birds, the fish and the apple trees.
Combining modern architecture and amenities with the look of a traditional boathouse, there aren't many places like this around.
2 km to groceries, restaurant and gas station.
30 km to Trolltunga trailhead. Lots of local trails.
Rental area can be enlarged to include old timber cabin, se below.

The new cabin is about 50 m2 on first floor, + 2 loft.
The kitchen, dining and living room is an open-concept, with large windows and sliding door to a terrace toward the fjord
There is one separate bedroom with a new double bed matress is 150 x 200 cm).
Then there is one separate loft with 2 mattresses (90x200 cm) .
There is also a more open loft with 2 mattresses (90x200 cm) in connection with the kitchen/living room.
If you can't climb the ladders , you need to rent the historical part as well. where it also has a sleeping room.

Retired fruit grower and first female adviser for the fruit farmers in Hardanger. Health problems put an end to my farming job. So the farmland is rented out.
Now I am 'only' landlady of the empty farm houses while e wait for the next generation to take over. It is so nice to have life and people around, and "lights in the windows". I try to do as good job as possible as an Airbnb host.
I try to have good communication with the guests in advance, because I want them to have as good as possible experience visiting my place.
I try to send link or otherwise give advice regarding hiking and sightseeing, what to bring in baggage depending on what activities the guests want to do etc.
I also explain which route is good to take to get here depending from where they come into Hardanger region
I try to be around when guests arrive and leave. Since I am living in the middle between 3 of theses farm houses, that is normally possible
Eternal gardening enthusiast with a wild garden along a river near the houses - free to use for guests in all 3 houses, sit in and enjoy the river.
Engaged in local community and sustainable development.
And last, but not least, a grandmother.

Finally; in the Airbnb map the listings are placed wrong - I am sorry, but it seems to be impossible to edit it.
3 of the houses are near each other if groups of friends would like to stay near to each others. Only the seashore house is a bit away from the others.

The host lives in a separate house about 800m away. She can be reached by phone or email, and is usually not far away. When you arrive she will give you the keys, and show you around. She also has a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area, trips, things to do, etc.
There is Tourist info in Odda town, 20 minutes drive away.
