L-ispazju
Our place is a big home. It has three bedrooms with private entrance. Rooms all have private baths, microwave oven, and fridge. We also provide free wifi for our guests.

Aċċess għall-klijenti
Unfortunately, we do not have handicapped facilities. Guests can stroll around our 3.5 acres and there are also numerous roads to explore in the neighborhood. Guests often are surprised by deer that make themselves at home around our place. NOTE: No breakfast is provided, but each room has a coffee maker (bring your own coffee).

The Chama steam powered train makes daily trips up the Cumbres mountain pass into Antonito, Colo., and is a very popular destination for tourists. The forest colors are spectacular in the fall months with the aspen and other native species readying themselves for winter. Our place is within walking distance of the whole town.

Chama, New Mexico, United States

Chama is a quaint, old town with an abundance of peace. No loud noises are ever heard except for thunder and the train whistle. There is also an abundance of wildlife in the area. It is not uncommon to see herds of elk, deer, and sometimes wild turkeys. Lush vegetation and green meadows are the standard along with clear mountain rivers and mountain views.

I am a happily married retired elementary school teacher. I taught bilingual education for Albuquerque Public Schools and Moriarty Municipal Schools for about 15.5 years before retiring in 2011. My wife and I have a 11 year old son who attends Chama Elementary School. I love to fish, hunt, hike and pretty much everything that has to do with the outdoors. I grew up on a ranch in Northern New Mexico. We have lived up here for about four years. I like to get acquainted with my guests, but knowing that folks usually have to travel at least 80 miles to get here from most any place, I don't go too long in order to let folks get a load off and settle in. I am available to talk to just about any time a guest need information on the area, places to eat, etc. I do love to talk to, interview, if you will, the folks that stay here. I have met the most interesting people! It is fascinating to realize the wide spectrum of interests people have. I'll never get tired of conversing with guests, while at the same time being sensitive to their wishes.
