John, Andy & Dylan their Border Collie welcome you to Carreg Yr Ogof (which means Stone Cave) and 'The Cobblers Cottage' (your accommodation under the arrow) which dates back 300 years, a stone built annex attached to our cottage on the South West edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Llandyfan. The traditional Welsh cottage has a locked connecting door and has a separate private outside entrance. We welcome well behaved dogs (please let us know at the time of booking if bringing a dog).

L-ispazju
We offer clean and comfortable accommodation comprising of a standard double bed with bedside tables and individual reading lights, seating area, TV, log burner (logs supplied), WIFI, and a small hanging space for clothes. Slippers are provided for guests as there is a stone floor. The kitchen/dining area (there is no cooker/hob or sink) contains a small dining table and chairs, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle and complimentary hospitality tray. All utensils are provided. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast which is provided for the first day in case you forget to bring anything with you, consisting of cereals, bread, croissants, butter, and various preserves, milk, orange juice, local spring water and a fruit basket. Bathroom consists of a rain shower, sink and toilet (no bathtub). Fresh towels are provided. Guests should note that the property is NOT suitable for wheelchair access and those who have difficulty walking. Access to the private entrance is approx. 20 metres walk from the driveway around the back of our cottage and there are 5 steps, some uneven surfaces and the general area is hilly. Mobile phone reception is very poor, however there is wifi available. If bringing a dog, they must have their own bedding.

Aċċess għall-klijenti
Carreg Yr Ogof is set in 10 acres of pasture. Guests are welcome to explore. We have chickens and horses which you are welcome to feed.
An information stand in the room contains leaflets on local attractions. Guests will find a small information folder on the history of the village and surrounding area. There is private off road parking and secure bicycle storage. Please take care if exploring the grounds as some steps can become slippery when wet.
During the current Pandemic, we will not be meeting guests on arrival or when you leave, this is for your safety and ours. You will be provided with the combination code for the key lock on the outside of the cottage. Full instructions on where to find us and everything in the cottage will be provided and of course we are on hand if you need to contact us.

If you want to be in the centre of a busy town then our place isn't for you. We are on the edge of the village with a few other houses dotted around. Unless you plan to do some walking from the house then a car is essential to get to nearby towns, places of interest and the coast. Whilst dogs are very welcome we would ask that you are with them at all times when walking in the grounds and do not let them out unaccompanied, also clean up after them. A dog waste bin is provided.

Ammanford, Wales, United Kingdom

Llandyfan is a small quiet village that derives its name from a saint of the name 'Dyvan' who came to Wales from Rome about the year 180. Carreg Yr Ogof is near the small Church and Holy Well. The house is approx. 3 miles from Carreg Cennen Castle which sits high above the river Cennen. Other local amenities include a traditional pub that serves home cooked food about 2 miles away, fishing, golf course, cycling, walking and two equestrian centres. The whole area is designated a 'dark skies area' and has recently been listed as the best place in the UK to observe the night sky.

John and Andy have been hosting their accommodation for over two years and have welcomed guests from all over the world. Due to the current Pandemic, whilst still being around if you need us, we shall be keeping a social distance and wont be meeting guests on arrival. We will of course provide full details of where to find us and there is a manual in the property that explains how everything works. We are allowing a two day gap between each guest stay to ensure the property is thoroughly cleaned.
