L-ispazju
The Council Oak Cottage is the original servants' quarters of the James Alexander Veasey House -- a home on the National Register of Historic Places. The home has been in our family since it was built in 1913 and we are currently in the process of restoring it.

The cottage, with a one-car driveway, has a queen bed with memory foam mattress, separate living and dining area and kitchenette with stove/oven, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and kettle. An enclosed garden is perfect for leash-free time with your pets, and there are parks all around for lovely walks. And, the cottage has distressed, stained concrete floors so you don't need to worry about pet damage.

Located directly across the street from the Creek Council Oak Tree which was the end of the Trail of Tears for the Lochapoka Creek (Muscogee) Native Americans, and Stickball park, you'll be standing right where Tulsa was started by native people.

Our cottage is licensed by the City of Tulsa (license #STR20-00001) for short term rental.

Fejn se tkun

Tulsa, Oklahoma, l-Istati Uniti

The Riverview neighborhood is a Tulsa treasure and the smaller Buena Vista division, where the cottage is located, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Located conveniently between access to several state and interstate highways, surrounded by multiple parks, including Veteran's Park, Riverside Park, Creek Council Oak Park and Stickball Park, the neighborhood contains many historic homes and retains the character of houses built over decades, rather than in a single season. There are bars, coffeeshops and restaurants in easy walking distance (1-4 blocks), while downtown is walkable for those accustomed to more exercise (15-20 minutes to the BOk center, for example), or just a few minutes by car or Lyft. The Cherry Street dining and shopping district is also a 15-20 minute walk (note: big hill) or within minutes by car. The Brookside dining and shopping district is just 3 miles away and boasts a variety of dining and shopping options.

My husband, Chris, and I have been married 21 years, having met while working on cruise ships. We love traveling and spending time with our three kids - a daughter (19), and two sons (17 & 14). My 81 and 87 year old parents moved in with us during the pandemic so it’s a full house! We are in the process of renovating this historic home, which has been in our family since it was built in 1913. We enjoy being outdoors, having adventures and generally enjoying life.

We're looking forward to meeting you!
