Welcome to Villacolores! This lovely property offers a historical perspective of the Cloudcroft area, as the home's kitchen was once the main cottage, constructed around the turn of the twentieth century, where travelers on the railroad would stop while vacationing in the early 1900s. The original window openings are still highlighted in the kitchen, now repurposed as a spice rack and a coffee nook with a pass-through opening to the living room.

Inside, the wood-burning stove serves as the focal point in the living room and provides the ideal warmth and comfort after a long day of skiing in Cloudcroft. Unwind on the large sectional and stream your favorite movies before retreating to the comfort of the queen-sized bed in the master bedroom. The sofa also pulls out into a full bed to comfortably accommodate 2 additional guests.

Utilize the en-suite bathroom's walk-in shower, then head into the fully equipped kitchen and prepare a hearty breakfast for everyone. A spacious floor plan, high-top table for 4, and all the essential appliances and utensils make it easy to prepare home-cooked recipes for any meal of the day.

You'll love spending most of your time outside at this private cottage retreat, with a covered patio space, a picnic table, and fire pit area. A new 3-burner propane gas grill allows you to grill up your favorite meats and veggies when you don't feel like cooking inside!

This home also comes with a Samsung Bluetooth/NFC wireless speaker that is compatible with Samsung and other Android phones and iPhones. The speaker is portable! It is a Samsung Level, so download the Level app for added features like an equalizer.

The popular High Rolls Cherry Festival is held just a short walk away, hosted by High Rolls Lions Club featuring locally grown fruit, a selection of cherry pies, and an abundance of food and craft vendors.

Looking for more of a thrill? Head just under 20 minutes up the road and spend days exploring the trails made for any skill level at Ski Cloudcroft, with a peak elevation of 9,100 feet.

Once you've had your fill of the mountain, drive into town and visit the charming boutiques and gourmet restaurants of Cloudcroft. Grab a drink at Western Bar & Cafe, pick out your favorite sweets at Burro Street Bakery, and enjoy a comfort food dinner at Mad Jack's Mountaintop Barbeque.

You'll also find intriguing sites and events when you head out the opposite direction from the property, just 12 miles down the road in Alamogordo. Spend a day in this quaint New Mexico town and tour the Museum of Space History, New Mexico State University sister campus, and take the kids to Alameda Park Zoo or the Imax Theater.

If you're looking to explore some other famous towns in the surrounding area, this home lies about 56 miles from Ruidoso, 80 miles from Las Cruces and 100 miles from El Paso.
