We are located directly in front of the Alhambra. Because of the location the view is perfect. It also puts you in the most desirable area to be when visiting Granada. Everything is a short beautiful romantic walk away in tiny cobble stone streets. This is a place for lovers, and travelers looking to find a special moment in a special place.

As some of you might know from other sources I design unique buildings, spaces and experiences. When in Granada this is one of my personal spaces. I wake up and go to sleep with the greatest view of the Alhambra in the whole city and one of the best in the whole world. I made this space so that one of the most famous monuments in the world could be enjoyed from the bed, bathtub, balcony, kitchen, or living space. I encourage everyone to have breakfast or a special dinner sitting outside.
The attic is located on the very top of a large historically protected property that is close to 600 years old. I believe it was my destiny to acquire this special building and all work and or restoration I have done has been in a manner that respects it heritage.

VERY IMPORTANT: I ask all my guests to please have the airbnb app downloaded on their smart phones. When you book please confirm you have it. It is a great tool for everything you will need like: instant communication with me, instructions and directions for everything, pictures, links to maps, ETC.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please be comfortable with Self check in. It is very easy, you will have a code to enter on the door and thats it. It is 100 percent the most convenient thing for guests. You don't have to worry about coordinating an arrival time. You can come any time that is convenient to you (3pm or after). This is important as I travel a lot doing my work and may not be around during your travel dates.

VERY IMPORTANT: No smoking inside, outside or around the building. If this is a problem please do not book. This is a historical building and the fire risk is too high. Additionally smoking causes a horrible smell that attaches to everything and bothers everyone who doesn't smoke. Another problem is people throw their cigarette butts on the floor around or in front of the building. If you are caught smoking during the reservation you will be asked to leave immediately. If you are caught smoking after check out you will be reported to airbnb and will also be charged an extra cleaning fee.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are driving it is 100 percent OK but please make sure to read my driving section as this is a special historical area (UNESCO world heritage site) and I share important details you will need.

VERY IMPORTANT: Most of our guests tend to be romantic couples, or respectful travels that are familiar with the internet, the airbnb concept and it's differences from a hotel. I design these spaces to have pleasant, relaxing, moments that will stay as memories forever. This is not the right place to have the "party experience". If you are excessively loud, play excessively loud music, have unpaid/undeclared guests you will be asked to leave.

The Lovers Attic is part of a dream I had to design and own 8 unique homes/buildings in very special places around the world. These are my personal structures, chosen by me for a special or unique quality. These are my personal designs, I do almost all the labor and furniture my self by hand. Once I complete a building I tattoo a secret symbol of that Place, moment, and effort on myself and wait for the next time the universe tells me its time to make another one. Once I have completed the 8 structures I will stop designing.

*DRIVING*

I SUGGEST DO NOT DRIVE TO THE APARTMENT ADDRESS
Driving in Granada is a very tricky thing, at least in the historic neighborhoods like the one where the apartment is located called the Albaicin. To access all these historic areas most of the time you will need to have a residency permit, it is all controlled by cameras and my recommendation is if you are coming by car to put in your GPS 'Parking San Agustin'. Is a paid covered parking garage and is only a 10 minutes walk from the house (if your baggage is really big you can take a taxi as is really close). During your stay you won't need to use the car because everything is within walking distance (15-20 min maximum, most of the times much less).

*FROM AIRPORT*

From the airport you can take a taxi directly to the apartment and it will cost you around 30 € per car. It will take approximately 30 to 35 minutes depending on the traffic.

Another option from the airport is taking the airport bus shuttle to the city center, your stop will be Gran Vía de Colón, Catedral. One thing to take into account is that the bus will leave the airport usually 30-45 minutes after a flight has landed. The cost of the bus will be under 5 € per person and it will take about 40-45 minutes to reach your station.
From the bus stop you can walk to the apartment and it will take you approximately 10 minutes (I’d suggest using the GPS on your phone as the streets are small and is easy to get confused) or you can take another bus in the area (you might have to walk in between bus stops) (lines C31, C32 and C34) to Paseo Padre Manjon bus stop, followed by a 2-3 minutes walk to the apartment, the cost of this bus is around 1,50 € per person. There’s usually a bus passing by the stop every 5-10 minutes (if you see the bus coming towards you at the bus station you have to flag it as it won’t stop unless someone does that, very common in Spain).

*FROM TRAIN STATION*

From the train station you can take a taxi directly to the apartment and it will cost you around 10 € per car. It will take approximately 20 to 25 minutes depending on the traffic.

Another option from the train station is taking the bus line 33, 21 or 4 to Gran Vía de Colón, Catedral bus stop which will cost you around 1,50 € per person.

The Albaycin is the old Arab Quarter. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1984 along with the Alhambra. It comprises approximately the area between the hill of the Alhambra, the hill of San Cristobal, the Sacromonte and Elvira.
The Albaycin is like a different world within Granada. This is due to the strong Muslim influence in this area. It was the place where the first Siri court was built in the eleventh century. The streets are very narrow and small with clean houses, plus numerous wells, some of which are still in the Albaycin.
