Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines).
There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

L-ispazju
Our log cabin is personally furnished and fully equiped. The living room has a big fireplace and view to the lake. You have the possibility to watch finnish or german TV via Sat. Besides that you will find other technical equipments such as a sound system, Blueray Player including DVD Collection. The open kitchen is fully furnished and has very good cooking equipment. You will find a big wood stove and a small electrical oven with two ceramic hubs. Besides that a small dishwasher is part of the equipment.
The main house has two small separate bedrooms. One with a double bed 140 x 200 cm and a second with a large single bed about 130 x 200 cm.
The bathroom has access to the sauna where the shower is located. In the bathroom there is a top load washing machine available. Attached is a spacious sauna with window overlooking the lake.
The house has a covered terrace where a wooden set of table and four chairs is located.
In the outdoor area there is another seating group consisting of wooden benches and table directly on the lake. Next to it is a large outdoor grill with smoker.
In front of the house, by the lake, is a wooden pontoon on which you can sit, lie down or get down on a ladder in the lake.
In addition, there is a bicycle, two sun loungers, an inflatable canoe, a SUP board and a rowing boat. An electric motor can be rented for the rowing boat.
For all who are interested we provide our fishing equipment as well as various fish traps. Please note the fishing regulations on site!

Savonlinna, il-Finlandja

The nearest village, 6 km away, is Savonranta, which can be reached by a dirt road.
The next largest city with 35,000 inhabitants Savonlinna is 55 km away.
Helsinki is about 400 km, 4.40 hours (car) and Joensuu about 77 km or 1 hour (car) away.
The area is part of the Finnish Lakeland, which is the largest lake district in Europe, a landscape in which one can not say whether it is a body of water with thousands of islands or mainland with thousands of lakes. The Lake District, also includes Saimaa, the largest lake in Finland and the fourth largest in Europe.

In the village of Savonranta: about 6 km, 10 minutes by car, you will find:

Foods:
Everything for everyday use can be found in the supermarket "Sale". There you also find a place to return your bottles and get free drinking water from a tab. In the "sale" itself, there is also a small pharmacy.

On the outside wall of the supermarket there is a fresh water tap for free drinking water.

In the parking space in front of the "Sale" supermarket is a waste paper container and the gas station of the place - only self service!

Restaurant / Cafe:
Café Vuokala, right by the harbour, is beautifully situated and the only restaurant/café in the village. They serve pizzas and have a changing daily menu. They also have music events from time to time.

Mylly:
Mylly, an old mill, transformed into a craft shop is located in the village of Savonranta. There you will find rag rugs, knitted socks and much more! The Mylly, is about 200m to the right from the "Sale". There is also a little stream and a salmon staircase to admire.

Kirpiis:
A typical Finnish institution that is not missing in any village is the "Kiirpis", a kind of thrift store. There you will find everything Finns have ever owned and eventually wanted to get rid of. Curiosities from A-Z!

Kylla Puoti:
In this shop you will find everything the outdoor person needs: saws, wood, tools, fur hats etc. There is also a small café serving "Munkkis" (cinnamon buns), coffee etc. and Finnish sandwiches.

There is also an ATM in the village on the main street.
