The whole cottage is rented out as one unit. Two bedrooms, one with queen size bed and two single beds in the other.

High speed WiFi is included.

A washing machine and a dryer are available as well as outside clothesline in the yard.

Some of the objects in the cottage are of great emotional worth for Björk, the owner and her family, so we hope you show my property respect and care during your stay.

Dalvík, l-iżlanda

Dalvík is a great place to stay at while exploring the North of Iceland.

Lake Mývatn, waterfalls Dettifoss and Goðafoss are within 2 hour driving distance.

From here, you can take a trip to the island Grímsey, that the arctic circle crosses, discover the quiet bird paradise of the island Hrísey and all the charming fishing villages close by; Ólafsfjörður, Siglufjörður, Árskógssandur, Hauganes, Hjalteyri and more, that all have something interesting to offer!

Weather you prefer activity like whale watching, hiking, horseback riding, skiing in the wintertime or relaxing in the hot tubs at the swimming pool, in the Beer spa (ask me for 10% discount!) or in the hot tubs on the beach of Hauganes, everybody should be able to find some things of interest.

You can have a delicious fish soup for lunch at the café close by, dinner at one of the two restaurants in town or preparing a simple meal at home - just what you desire!

I´m so fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful place in the world :)

I lived for six years in Bíldudalur, a small fishing village in the south part of the Westfjords of Iceland. After I lost my partner, I decided to move back to my birthplace Dalvík, after being away from the North for 25 years!!

I live in a 200 m2 farmhouse with 7 chicken, 2 roosters, 2 cats and one horse! I love to get to know and share my home with people from all over the world.

I also love travelling, both within Iceland and abroad. I lived in Denmark for two years, stayed as an Au-pair girl in Germany for 4 months when I was 18 years old and for two summers in Norway, working on a café.

I´m an easy going person, like to spend time with friends, enjoy knitting and read books.

I´m so fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful place in the world :)
