We are 4 mi. south of I-70 by Sherwood Lake. Use a GPS, as the streets can be confusing, especially coming in from the east.
King-sized bed with a Memory foam topper & plenty of pillows.
The bathroom is next door to the room, yours exclusively during your stay (except for our two dogs who use it to access the backyard).
There is a fan, coffee maker & the TV has a ChromeCast attached.

**This space is upstairs.**
"Sherwood Lake Suite" is our lower-level space and has a ground-level entrance.

Our home is a "Raised Ranch" style. This room is on the main level, but requires going up a full flight of stairs to access the front door. **It is NOT wheelchair accessible.**

The room will comfortably sleep 2 adults. If you need room for a small child, we can accommodate them with a pack n' play or a fold-out foam pad.

The bathroom is located next door to the room, off the main hallway. It is for your private use while you are here. (The laundry room is part of the space, so I may occasionally need to access it during your stay.) The dogs have a doggie door to access the backyard through the bathroom. Please leave the door open when you're not using it.

Need more space?
We also have another listing in our home, downstairs (Sherwood Lake Suite), with a queen-size bed and a family room which provides a lot of space for hanging out or watching the 42" TV with Direct TV or DVD. Entry is via the garage and requires no need to access the stairs. There is plenty of room for our 2 air mattresses or a pack n' play. Both spaces can be booked together (if available) if you need more space.

We are about 2.5 miles from the closest grocery store and 4.5 from most other shopping areas.
We are in a very safe area of town right by a private lake (Lake Sherwood), so taking a walk or a run in the neighborhood is really nice. I have mapped a 1.7 mile and 2.2 mile walk/run route, door to door, if you'd like to use it.

My husband Ralph and I are empty-nesters and spend time visiting one set of grandchildren or another (15 total) on our vacations. We have lived in Kansas over 24 years now, but we are originally from Arizona and die hard University of Arizona Wildcat fans. Ralph never misses watching a game if he can help it. I am an artist as well as a theater costume designer. Ralph is semi-retired currently, but is leaving his options open.
We enjoy spending time with our kids when we travel, but occasionally we take trips without seeing them. We like to go to museums which focus on the local history of the areas we are in, as well as art and sports related museums.
We both love to read and listen to books while we drive. Usually we go in for espionage suspense style writers. I got Ralph hooked on the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.
We are very low maintenance travelers. We don't drink or smoke or even drink coffee or tea. As hosts, we have coffee and a coffee maker in your room for your use. Feel free to bring your own coffee if you're a connoisseur!
