Tiona Palms Holiday Park occupies a very unique place nestled between the white sands of Seven Mile Beach, the cabbage tree palm studded shores of Wallis Lake and spectacular Booti Booti National Park.

Tiona also has the most picture perfect venue for your wedding with the Green Cathedral on the shores of Wallis Lake with reception room available.

AMENITY BLOCKS
There are four amenity blocks (one in each precinct), including baby bath facilities, disabled bathroom and coin operated laundry. We currently only have one washing machine (Beachside North amenities), which takes $4.00 in one- or two-dollar coins which we can swap at the office. We will have new washing machines and dryers to replace the ones removed by the previous owners by the end of January (ETA).

CABINS
All linen, bedding & bath towels are provided, along with basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Our cabins do not currently have air-conditioning in them; however, we anticipate having these installed by Easter 2020.

COOKING
We have two camp kitchens and several BBQ facilities throughout the park available for your use. Our main camp kitchen features BBQ’s, fridge, microwave, jugs and toasters, with outdoor seating overlooking the park and surrounding bush.
Most cabins have cooking facilities including a cooktop, microwave oven, and fridge; and also include crockery, cutlery and glasses plus basic pots and pans.

FIRES
Yes, we allow campfires! For the safety of all our guests, there are certain conditions that we ask our guests to adhere to, and fires are permitted in braziers only. If you have your own brazier, we ask that you let us approve them prior to use; alternatively, you can hire one from us for $10 per day. Please complete the Brazier form from the office regardless of whether you are using your brazier or renting ours.
Fire must be in a brazier with legs and a solid pan to catch all the ashes and coals. Braziers not to be on cabin verandas, under awnings, under trees or within 3m of a tree trunk or any structure. Please be mindful of wind and placement of your brazier to ensure that smoke is not disturbing your neighbours.
Please do not bring in outside firewood, and we ask that you refrain from cutting or breaking trees or branches on our property or any of the surrounding national park or other lands.
You can have a fire in a brazier at all times of the year, except Christmas to New Year or other peak periods; or during total fire bans or high winds (please check the NSW Rural Fire Service website). Fires must be put out if directed by the management to do so.

FLORA
We run an extensive tree-pruning and maintenance program, however despite our best efforts sometimes nature has other ideas. The park takes no responsibility for damage caused by falling branches, or from the elements.

SITES
If you are unclear as to where you should be camping, please ask us for clarification. Please do not clear sites into the bush for camping; as these areas are managed in accordance with our environmental policy.

WATER
We are on mains water supply, and all our water is potable.

BEACH
Seven Mile Beach stretches south from Cape Hawke and Janie's Corner down to us, and then continues to the south to the 169m high Booti Hill. All of the beach and dunes, apart from our section, are part of the Booti Booti National Park, and at the southern end features the famous "Bull's Paddock" - a right hand point break popular with local surfers.
This beach is unpatrolled, and has a rip-dominated inner bar, which is usually detached, with rips every 300-400 m separated by a trough and outer bar with more widely spaced rips. If you are swimming here, watch for rips and rip feeder currents.
Dolphins are frequently spotted along this stretch of beach year-round, and during the whale season whales can be seen as close as 30-40m off-shore.

FISHING
Bring your fishing rods – the local fishing is excellent on both the beach and the lake side (whiting, leatherjacket, flat head, bream, snapper).
All adults over the age of 16 years who are not on a pension are required to have a NSW fishing license. These are $8 for 3 days, or $15 for 1 month, and are available online.

FAUNA
Our park is home to a range of wildlife including the stunning local lace monitors. Please treat all wildlife with respect, and do not approach, feed or otherwise interfere with the natural activities of wildlife.
On the main Lakes Way heading north, you will see on the left hand side a nest atop a pole - this is the home of a the local Osprey's, and at certain times of year you may spot a chick or two poking out the top.
During the winter months, whale watching is a popular attraction in the Great Lakes with the humpback whale migration occurring annually from June through until October. You can often spot these magnificent creatures as they come through from Seven Mile beach, or the many vantage points around Cape Hawke, Forster, Blueys and Boomerang Beaches.

SWIMMING
Please be very cautious of the open water and big surf we experience here. Like so many beaches in Australia, Seven Mile Beach is prone to gutters and rips. Do not swim alone and if caught in a rip do not fight it – let it take you out, stay afloat and attract attention. If you are confident, swim parallel to the beach – often this is towards the breaking waves, which can assist you back to shore. If you are not confident – do not go in. Our policy is to advise guests not to swim on the beach but use the pool.

We also have an on-site caretaker who is available 24/7 on the office number for urgent assistance outside of office hours.

If you wish to arrive outside of the normal office operating hours, please contact us to make arrangements for payment of your booking and collection of keys (where applicable).

KIOSK
Our kiosk is in the office and is generally open from 8.30am to 5pm, and to 7pm on Friday and Saturday. We stock essential grocery items such as bread, milk, cold drinks, ice, bait and firewood as well as other camping 'essentials' such as chocolate, chips, and Aeroguard. Please let us know if there are any items you would like to see stocked in our kiosk, and we will see if we can arrange this for you.
