Get away from it all in the private gated community of Alarka Highlands. Blue Sky Ridge View is home to beautiful mountain views and total comfort at 3740ft elevation.
You can enjoy the great outdoors with the privacy and comfort of this beautiful log cabin. Enjoy taking in the surrounding mountain views while soaking in the hot tub, or sit by the stone fire pit and roast marshmallows. Enjoy the mountain breeze from the wrap around porch, or the serenity of one of the 2 private balconies.

Downstairs features a nice open floor plan, so all guests can interact when in the kitchen, dining, or living rooms. The fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The first master bedroom is off of the main living area and features a queen sized bed. Across the hall, the master bath has a walk-in shower and a jetted tub for 2. Just up the stairs , the cozy loft offers views of the surrounding mountains and a twin over full bunk bed. The second master bedroom is also upstairs with a queen size bed and walk-in shower in the en suite bathroom. Both master bedrooms feature private balconies.

For the comfort of it's guests there are also additional amenities such as HDTV with Direct TV, DVD player, televisions in both master bedrooms, and internet access. If you like to grill out, the cabin is equipped with a grill on the covered porch for your enjoyment. In the evening, get cozy in the living room by the beautiful stone fireplace.

Blue Sky Ridge View is located in the high elevation, gated Alarka Highlands Community. All cabins located in this community are high-end luxury cabins. For guests' entertainment there is a clubhouse with tennis court. The private nature of the property also allows for nice hikes and views throughout. Alarka Highlands is located just outside of Bryson City. In the area you will find plenty of venues for entertainment and adventure including: The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek Community, Nantahala River Gorge, Tsali Biking, Fontana Lake.

The main roads into the community, while paved the majority of the way, are very steep and curvy. The secondary roads and driveways in Alarka Highlands are gravel. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive is strongly recommended, especially during the winter months

No refunds will be given for inclement weather (ie. Hurricanes, earthquake, forest fire, snow) even if an evacuation order has been given, fear of heights, or family emergencies. We cannot control acts of Mother Nature. We will be considerate and fair when/if possible to any and all guests that may be endangered. Subletting is prohibited.
If guests cancel 60 days prior to arrival date, a full refund will be issued. If guests cancel 30 or less days prior to arrival date 1/2 of the total payment will be forfeited. No exceptions.
All travel policies remain the same during the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel at your own risk.

This cabin is a privately owned home. Please treat it with respect and leave it as you found it.
Please understand that there may be guests arriving after your check out or before you check in & we need time to clean the cabin. No late check out extension of stay is allowed without prior agreement.

No Smoking Inside or on decks: Should you smoke outdoors; all cigarettes must be thrown away properly. Be certain that cigarettes are extinguished to prevent fires.
Pets: This cabin does not allow pets, unless a special arrangement was made prior to your arrival. Any pets residing on the premises will result in loss of tenancy and may be subject to additional fees.
No Campfires or Burning outside except in provided fire pits.
Trash: There is no trash service in the mountains. Please leave your trash in the can located outside. For any additional trash please take to the trash dump in town. Do not leave exposed garbage bags outside.
Dump Site Directions: From Hwy 74, take exit 67 into Bryson City. Go straight through the first light. Turn left at the second light, Walgreens will be on the right. Turn onto Hwy 19 South for approximately 1 mile. Dump site is on the right.
Please clean up spills as they occur.
Cabin Keys: If you lose the cabin keys or get locked out there is a $35 charge to have a maintenance person come out & let you in.
We understand that accidents happen. Please let us know if any items are broken during your stay. Additional charges will apply if we discover unreported broken or missing items after you leave.
No Disruptive Behavior: Please remember that this is a peaceful mountain community & that neighbors, although not always visible, are present. Keep music & conversations at reasonable levels, & drive safely. Please do not trespass on our neighbors property.
No Firearms: This includes hand guns, paintball, & BB guns. Local authorities will be called to handle non-compliance.
No overnight guests above the reserved number.
Certain Conditions exist that are unique to the mountains & are beyond our control. These include road conditions, availability, & reliability of utilities, weather, indoor & outdoor pests (including but not limited to stinging insects, snakes, spiders, ladybugs, & mice). As long as the cabin is safely accessible, inclement weather or your discomfort with mountain roads are not valid conditions for cancellation, nor are over or utility outages (of less than 24 hours duration) cause for refund or restitution. Problems arising during your stay must be reported immediately so we can attempt to correct them. We cannot correct or compensate for problems reported after your stay.
The home owners are not responsible for any personal items lost or left on the property.

Owner’s Closet: As owner’s we maintain a locked closet for personal property storage. Guests shall respect this area and not attempt to open or remove any personal property.

Our property is privately owned, individually furnished, and equipped for housekeeping with basic items such as pillows, bed linens, towels, blankets, cookware, flatware and dishes. An initial set up of paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels at kitchen sink, and garbage bags are provided.
Check Out Procedures

Check out Procedures:
General: Our cabin is cleaned prior to your arrival & following your departure. We do not expect you to clean before your departure, however we do expect that you will leave everything in good condition so that no excessive cleaning will be needed.
Dishes: Please load & start the dishwasher before you leave.
Thermostat: Please reset thermostat before you leave 75 in the summer & 60 in the winter.
Towels & Linens: We would appreciate it if you would start a load of towels. Please strip all used bedsheets and leave in the laundry room.
Lights, Fans, Furniture: Turn off all lights except motion lights. Be sure all fans are off & return furniture to original location.
Please be sure to lock all windows and doors.
Please make sure the gas fireplace is turned off.
Don’t forget to leave the key.

Hot Tub Usage & Warnings

If we drained & refilled the hot tub just before your stay, it will most likely not be up to temperature when you arrive. Keep the cover on & jets turned off when not in use to maintain the warm temperature. When in use:
Wear proper swimwear. Your street clothes will always have residual detergent from laundering. This will cause foaming in the hot tub. Please shower before entering the hot tub.
All Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets, lotions, cosmetics, or hairsprays.
No food or drinks.
Do not use soap, bath oils, bubble bath, etc. in the hot tub. Some lotions, creams, soaps, etc. mixed with the hot tub chemicals may cause a rash. Showering before and after using the hot tub is recommended.
Remove cover all of the way to prevent entrapment.
Do not sit or stand on the hot tub cover, it will break. The replacement charge is $500.
Prevent Drowning: Hot tub heat speeds up the effects of alcohol, drugs, or medicine & can cause unconsciousness. Immediately leave hot tub if you are uncomfortable or sleepy. Remove the cover completely to prevent entrapment & drowning. Always keep children within sight. Always cover the hot tub after each use.
Risk of Injury: During Pregnancy, soaking in hot tub water may cause damage to the fetus. Limit use to 10 minutes at a time. Always check temperature before entering. Do not enter if temperature is greater than 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 40 degrees Celsius. Enter and exit hot tub carefully & slowly. Persons with medical conditions should consult with their doctor before use.
Do Not use any electronic device within 5 feet of the hot tub.
Do Not turn the power off, if there is power button, leave it on.
It is normal for a hot tub to cycle randomly throughout the day. It is also normal for it to shut off after 20-30 minutes. Press the jet button to reactivate.

The owner has taken great effort to ensure all information provided is accurate. We cannot be held responsible for errors, omissions, or changes in pricing.

Liability and Guest Responsibility:
Guest (s) shall hold harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and Property Owner’s employees, agents and licensees from and against any loss or damage, including attorney's fees and expenses, incurred as a result of any and all claims, demands, causes of action, suits, judgments, fines or penalties (including but not limited to all fees and expenses incurred as a result of death or injury to persons or for loss of or damage to property) arising out of or in connection with the use and occupancy of the Property by Guest(s), its agents, employees, licensees or invitees. The guest whose name appears on the confirmation is responsible for all terms and conditions during their term of occupancy.
