Enjoy a comfy stay at this centrally-located bijou home. We are right in the heart of an incredibly stunning Medieval city. Think: Castle, Café culture, cobbled streets, and you will not be disappointed. Castle views when you throw open the shutters in the morning. You should find everything you need to make the most of your stay here, from Super fast fibre internet, to integrated USB plug sockets, internet radio, maps of the local area and clever design to maximise space.

We offer self check-in via a lock box to the right hand side of the front door. The space will be available from 3pm, although it may be earlier.

Please note, we will leave the bedroom window open a little to air the cottage between guests. Please remember to close it if you need to turn on the aircon.

It would be great if you could help us to manage the house with the environment - please turn off lights when you leave the room, and pleass don't leave the aircon running when you go out.

Silves is perfectly sized for exploring on foot if you are reasonably fit (we have some hills!). There are 3 big supermarkets in town, two of them (Aldi & Lidl) are very conveniently situated, the third (Continente) is a little further out.
In addition to the big ones, there are various minimarts nearby, including one which is just a short (but steep) walk from Castle cottage down the steps nearby.

As someone who has spent a few years globe trotting, I know the importance of having a place where you can really feel at home and relax - even if it's just for one night. To quote a famous saying, 'There are no such things as strangers, just friends I haven't met yet,' - which I have found to be 100% true over the last two years of our hosting story. I take pride in making each and every person feel welcome whilst making sure they have everything they need for a comfortable stay. We also like learning about other people's travels and recommending things to do locally (if you need our input!). Mike is always happy to chat about music, if that is also one of your interests. About me: I like reading, cooking anything that will go in a slow cooker and pottering in the garden.

We have really missed hosting over the last few years - and since we were last able to host, we've made some pretty big changes to our lives (eg. moved to Portugal!).
