Easy access to downtown bars, restaurants, stores, supermarkets, but outside the reach of the urban noise.

Our apartment has all brand new installations & appliances, and locally-made high-quality furniture some of which was designed and made by the hosts' family business. High quality mattresses and bedding. Two bathrooms — one with a large soaking tub, the other with walk-in shower. An in-unit washer & drier w/ detergent. Bring the outside in with the large sliding-glass doors to the balcony overlooking the city.

The bedroom has a large closet & dresser and a 55" Android (smart) TV with local channels (analog antenna), Youtube, and Netflix account included, plus the ability to install or login to your own account in other apps like Disney+, HBO Max, etc.

We're a young couple from Cuenca and North Carolina. Carola is an architect specializing in world heritage, restoration, and furniture design. She's spent the last 12 years helping manage several vocational schools around Ecuador and Haiti. James is a programmer and web developer specialized in e-commerce, community platforms, and higher ed institutional web apps.

Our latest project was the re-design, restoration, and expansion of Casa Mirlo in Cuenca, Ecuador from a single family dwelling into an 8-unit condominium, completed in 2020.
