I am excited to share “A Room With a View”, which is named after the movie, starring a host of wonderful actors. The movie has been described by the Criterion Collection: “One is struck not only by the glorious sunlight, but equally by an effervescent lightness of tone…and a sense that the film has weathered the years without, in any significant way, growing old or stale.”
So come and be in the peacefulness, the lightness, and pure nature.

The canyon view will take your breath away, and it changes constantly.
Allow yourself to be in this spacious, serene private space.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The fifty year old glass topped iron table is from days gone by.
The appliances include a full refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave. Linens are included. There is an extensive private patio with an eating area and plenty of seating which overlooks Stewart Creek Canyon. It is completely private, with woods on either side of the long sloping lawn ending at the canyon. Stewart Creek flows into the “Pogue Creek Canyon Natural Area” which has unlimited hiking, caving and wilderness possibilities.
Historic Pickett StatePark (just 4 miles down the road) also has lots of outside opportunities, including a special night sky viewing area. Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, with over 120,000 acres of outdoor activities, including kayaking, hiking, rock climbing is just down the road. There is also a professional wrangler who will take you for horseback rides in the Park.
Because of our close proximity to Stewart Creek Canyon, this space is NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.

The setting is in a beautiful gated community with a parklike setting. There are ponds, walking and hiking trails, and plenty of wildlife. It is an equine community, and if you wander up the road, you will probably see horses and dogs belonging to the neighbors. You will be literally surrounded by Parklands.

I moved to Jamestown to be near the Big South Fork to hike and ride my horse.
