What will first strike you when you enter the main living area are the huge volumes of the living room and its unbeatable open views over the surrounding countryside. We love how the landscape and the colors constantly change throughout the year according to crops and seasons. The main living room and dining room are flooded with light rushing through the full height windows that circle the whole house, which gives you the feeling of sitting right in the middle of the surrounding nature. You'll notice that the house has been furnished with style and with the help of a professional interior designer. The living room also has an impressive open fire, lovely for these long winter evenings.

The state of the art kitchen is set in a fully glassed veranda, overviewing the pool and further enhancing the sensation of belonging to the garden. It is equipped with professional quality Viking Professional Kitchens equipment, two ovens, a flame grill, a plancha and all amenities you might think of.

There are 5 bedrooms, each but one with ensuite bathroom, including:
- One 40 sqm master bedroom with king size bed and high quality bedding, large windows, two bathrooms for him and her and a large walk-in closet.
- One 50 sqm full studio with independent access and patio, able to host up to 7 adults, with king size bed, ensuite bathroom, living room with large sofa bed for two, two bunk beds and an extra single bed, desk area and HD TV with Netflix.
- One 25 sqm bedroom with single bed for a kid, ensuite bathroom and large windows.

We are lucky enough to live in an extremely nice, safe and green neighborhood called "Le Bois de mai". It is set amidst the fields of Brabant Wallon, right into the nature, with open views onto the surrounding fields, yet only 5 min away from Waterloo and 20 min away from Brussels and its countless activities.

You'll find plenty of restaurants (including top-end Michelin starred establishments), shopping options, touristic sites and activities in the immediate surroundings.

Nearby activities include:
- Golf courses: Practice your swing! Our region has the most golf courses per square kilometer in all Belgium with more than 10 courses in a 15 min range and one of the nicest literally 5 min away from home...cycling!
- Waterloo Battle 1815 Memorial & Napoleon's last headquarters: learn more about the crossroads of Europe's destinies.
- Hergé Museum and the comics cycling route : enjoy Louvain-La-Neuve, the first university town of Wallonia, and its countless buildings from the very same architect that designed our home.
- Folon Foundation in the heart of the wonderful "Parc de la Hulpe".
- Abbey of Villers-la-Ville: an outstanding 12th-century abbey, part of Wallonia’s protected cultural heritage.
- Beer-tasting and tour of the trappist abbeys: enjoy world renowned Belgian ales, while learning about the process.
- Countless walks and cycling routes pass right in front of our house and can take you from a couple of hours to several days through the Belgian countryside.
- Walibi & Aqualibi theme parks, countless adventure parks.
- Enjoy and visit Bruges, Antwerp, Namur, Leuven, Gent, Liège, all less than 1h15 away!

This being said, and while all these activities are worth the trip, be aware that you will probably not want to leave home. You'll feel so comfortable here, there's actually literally no reason to move. More seriously, our place is both the perfect heaven to disconnect and relax, as well as to explore Belgium's top touristic sites, thanks to its central location. A home away from home, marrying modernity with elegance, calmness and serenity, all in a privileged surrounding which will seduce you, no matter how demanding.

We are a family of three. Andrea is originally from Chile and worked in the fashion industry before recently specializing in interior design. I, David, am from Belgium. I am a medical doctor (surgeon) and amateur photographer. We met in Santiago de Chile in 2019 when I was away for my residency in Urology. This is where and when I met Andrea and her lovely daughter Amelia, who I know consider as my own kid, too.

We are now lucky enough to live in a wonderful house in the Belgian countryside, with outstanding open views over the surrounding fields, yet only 20 min from Brussels, which is easily reachable both by train or car. Our place is a true gem that we'll let you discover in the corresponding section.

We are extremely clean, tidy and respectful of people and places. This is what you can expect from us, and this is also what we would always expect from our guests.

While we decided to call Belgium home for the next few years, we remain an international family and we share a common passion for traveling, always eager to jump onto the next adventure, sometimes for months at a time. So why don't you come enjoy our little paradise in the meantime?
