'Farthings' at Barrington is a completely self contained unit on 1 acre of land at the foot of the famous World-Heritage Barrington Tops. It is just 5km out of the market town of Gloucester.
The unit has two bedrooms. One with a Queen size bed and the second with two single King size beds. If a booking is for one or two guests they may choose to use either one of these bedrooms. A booking for three or more guests includes use of both bedrooms and a surcharge for each extra guest.

‘Farthings at Barrington’ is situated in the little village of Barrington at the foot of the World- Heritage listed Barrington Tops in one of the most picturesque rural areas imaginable. Farthings is next door to the one village shop which combines post-office, small grocery store, bottle-shop, cafe and filling station. There is an extensive range of activities available in the area including: hiking, kayaking, fishing, river swimming, exploring historic sights and much more. The Visitors Information Centre in Gloucester is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy providing guidance and local information to visitors. There is also a mine of information about the Gloucester area on the internet. Alternatively, Farthings is so peaceful and the views so beautiful that unwinding quietly with a book can be an attractive option.

My husband and I have both retired. During our working lives we lived mostly in cities and for over 30 years called Sydney 'home'. We moved to the country upon retirement and chose Barrington and the Gloucester area because of its character, picturesqueness, the friendliness of the population and all the available amenities. We both enjoy the rural lifestyle, our garden, our dog, our hens and the clean country air.

Both Chris and I have traveled extensively. We were both born in UK and between us have lived in UK, Africa, South East Asia and the Pacific Islands.

I enjoy travelling, reading, movies, theatre, music, meeting new people, good food and most of all, my family. Chris has similar interests but really enjoys gardening and keeping the property neat and tidy.

Chris speaks French reasonably well.

We look forward to hosting and getting to know a wide range of Airbnb guests.
