Historic Downtown LaSalle (1.2 miles away) offers a variety of small business dining and shopping options. The Snug Owl sits on its own city lot and is around 400 square feet with one queen bed in the sleeping area.

Snug Owl Cottage, a 20x20 foot tiny house, has an open plan to make it feel more spacious with a partial wall dividing the queen bed in the sleeping area from the living area. The kitchen and living area are open to each other and only separated by a bar-height island. The cottage was built in 1945, but the WiFi and HD SmartTV are very 2022.

Do you love to walk through quiet neighborhoods with well-tended older homes? This neighborhood has many 1920s bungalows, Tudor revivals, and storybook cottages. There is a little free library at the corner of Prospect and Roosevelt, an ice cream stand, a MiniMart, a park with a large public swimming pool and a Tuesday Farmers Market, and much more. Downtown La Salle has many dining and shopping options to suit a variety of tastes.

I absolutely love hosting dogs and their people! Traveling is my passion and I’ve stayed in some pretty fancy hotels thanks to my former airline career, but I prefer a more relaxed or even quirky vibe and I hope my little house reflects that. My favorite places to visit so far are Scotland, Maine, New Zealand, and Germany, but I believe every place has something unique about it that is worth exploring. I moved to LaSalle from my native Florida, which surprises some, but once you meet the people here, you’ll see why I like it.
