Bright and airy self-contained downstairs apartment, with views out over the the Tamar River and beyond. Perfect for couples or single travellers, for holidays, weekend travel or business accommodation. Less than 5 mins drive from the city centre. Take a lovely gentle walk along the waterside path to the Cataract Gorge (20 min) the city (2 km), or to nearby tailrace park (5 min). A convenient extra double bedroom in case you are travelling with friends.

The apartment is self-contained and separate from the upper floor of the house. There is a separate private access to and from Dean's Lane where guests can park adjacent to the apartment. You will have the space to yourself. The apartment consists of three rooms: A comfortable living area with a double bed, TV and leather couch, table and chairs. A spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. A separate functional and fully equipped kitchen, and an adjoining 2nd double bedroom for additional guest/s.

Trevallyn is nestled on the hills next to river and city centre and boasts spectacular river, city views, and unimpeded mountain views to the east. A leafy, well-established, premium location offering the best of city living, yet with easy access to the walking trails and gardens that thread through the nearby cataract Gorge, Trevallyn reserve and riverfront trails. Lane apartment is a short 10 minute walk from Trevallyn centre where there is an excellent local cafe/pizzeria, a very fine bakery, providore and gourmet market, pharmacy, post office, and gift shops. A 5 minutes drive north to takes you to Riverside shopping centre; a 3 minute drive to the city with several supermarkets. For those on foot, a regular bus route to the city passes the bottom of Deans Lane only 100 metres away.

I am a University lecturer in marine ecology and genetics. Married for 30 years (also a uni lecturer) and both non-smokers. Independent travellers that prefer to avoid touristy areas and interact with local people. Enjoy walking, good food, history and culture, and observing people in their everyday life.

We are both easy-going and friendly, and quiet, tidy guests. We enjoy company but are also happy to entertain ourselves, so you will not offend us if you are too busy to spend time with us. We read extensively - both fiction and non-fiction.

Generally we like to have a base where we can spread out cook for ourselves and live like home. We make day trips into the surrounding countryside to visit local landmarks and historical sites, or interesting villages.
