A lovely Grade 2 listed cottage within the town conservation area. The cottage is on the historic Cartway in Bridgenorth.
The Cartway is the original road leading from the river to the high town where merchants would have used their horse and cart to haul their wares up to the town to be sold in the medieval market place.
Luckily you’ll no longer hear the rumble of the cart wheels on the cobbles, just the chatter of tourists as they enjoy the picturesque walk up the bustling market town.

The cottage is full of character reflecting its age and history.
The property has a good size lounge with beams and a working log burner, a well equipped kitchen and two lovely double bedrooms. A bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The cottage does have steep stairs.
It has a sunny little patio area for alfresco dining.

Fejn se tkun

Shropshire, England, ir-Renju Unit

The town has many listed and historic buildings, two beautiful churches and the ruins of a castle set in pretty gardens so plenty to see.
Charles 1 declared the view from the castle as “the finest in all my kingdom”
The view is still outstanding but now the castle stands at a worrying angle, greater than Tower of Pisa since it was blown up by Parliamentarians in the English Civil War.
There is an abundance of independent shops and eateries in the high town, including an ice cream parlour, tea rooms and a lovely old fashioned sweet shop on the Cartway.
The town can claim the oldest and steepest inland funicular cliff railway and a trip on it is a must when visiting Bridgnorth.
Should you wish to try another form of transport the Severn Valley Railway runs from Bridgnorth station, so hop on a train and travel back to an era of steam as the train weaves it way along the Severn Valley to Bewdley.
If you like to be more active, more there are miles of public footpaths leading away from the town into the rolling Shropshire Hills.
You can also follow the scenic Cycle Route 45, the Mercian Way, along the river to Ironbridge which is appropriately 10 miles away.
If you want to venture further a field there are many places to visit within 30/45 minute drive including
Shrewsbury, the county town,
Ludlow famed for its market and castle, Church Stretton nicknamed Little Switzerland for its stunning scenery on the Long Mynd, or Bewdley an attractive Georgian town and the gateway to the Wyre forest.

Hi Dave and Elaine here.

We invite you to come and stay at our beautiful cottage in the pretty Peak District National park or town house in the historic market town of Ludlow.
Elaine will liaise with you as she is dealing with the bookings and all aspect of managing the cottage and your visit.

As we are based in the Midlands we choose to buy our holiday cottages within a few hours drive so we can manage them ourselves to offer you quality accommodation.

We will be using the cottages ourselves some weekends but we'd like to share them and the beautiful surrounding villages and countryside with you.

We will often be in the village/town so if you have any problems we shouldn't be far away.
I hope to be there to welcome you but if I am unable to, I will send you instructions for the key safe.

We absolutely love both Tideswell and Ludlow and hope you do too.

Have a fab stay
