You’ll be hard pressed to find a more ideal location for any weekend at the Brown Lee Reservoir than this rustic little cottage just 1/4 mile from the boat ramp. With room to spread out for parking and unloading, and gorgeous 360 degree views of the Eagle valley, this is the perfect place to get away from it all.

You’ll have a fully fenced yard and parking area complete with old barns and out buildings, a kitchen stocked with essentials, and space to relax after a hard day of playing.

You’ll have exclusive access to the house and yard and we can accommodate easy parking within the gated space in front of the barns and outbuildings. These buildings do function as storage for a working ranch, so clear communication about what parking needs are will be vital for a seamless, coordinated visit. If your visit falls in the autumn months, you may cross paths with a cattle drive or two!

This is a quietly bustling agricultural town. Your closest neighbors will be cattle, horses and their feed- and the managers of all of them. Oh, and the aggressively friendly horse in the pasture neighboring the house.

The pace of life out here will sound and seem slow and pastoral- and it is. But it is supported and managed by a steady ebb and flow of activity. It’s a live and let live kind of world, be respectful of the lifestyle and you will be a warmly welcomed guest. Please be conscientious of your dust and noise and help us maintain our quiet paradise!

Hi there- I’m Tasheena.

I was born and raised in a small town in southeastern Idaho, got married and promptly began a nomadic life with my husband as we moved for schooling, summer work, adventuring and then work, all while beginning and growing our family.

We put down real roots, though, when we moved to Baker City five years ago and we have fallen quite thoroughly in love with this charming and historic town. It is a perfect fit for raising a family of diverse interests- my husband finds an abundance of adventures to lose himself in all over eastern Oregon, from hiking, trail running and mountain lake swimming, to snowboarding, skiing and snow shoe-ing, to golfing and mountain biking in between his ER shifts at 3 different area hospitals. The kids are safe to explore their neighborhood and local community in a variety of places, from walks to the local ice cream shop, parks and library, to family fun at the sports complex near the high school.

I get to ranch, which means enjoying an endless supply of breathtaking sunrises and the grandeur of this rich portion of the PNW- and cultivating an entire ecosystem within it. I get almost as much enjoyment growing grass as I do working with the cattle!

In my “spare time”, I love old movies, discovering music outside the mainstream, reading everything I can get my hands on (usually simultaneously, so I have stacks of half-read books in every room of my house), yoga and meditation and am hard at work cultivating an appreciation for fine whiskeys of every variety.

I am new to the world of AirBNB on the hosting side, but with a large family and many friends (more than we realized we had when we lived in Hawaii…), I have hosted my fair share of visitors and love meeting new people! I take great pride in creating a comfortable and thoughtful space that provides for all the little things we all forget when packing for a trip, so getting started on my first unit is an exciting opportunity to test out my hosting acumen. I live in the neighborhood and am available to support personally in the afternoons, so please don’t hesitate to reach out when you need.
