South Stable is a beautiful, newly renovated, cosy cottage, situated in the centre of the popular coastal village of Alnmouth. It is the perfect location for a romantic or solo getaway to explore the Northumberland Coast. Within walking distance from the stunning Alnmouth beach, brilliant bars, pubs, and restaurants. Free, secure parking on the premises.

South Stable is a private one-bedroom cottage for two. An old stone characterful property recently converted to the highest, most comfortable standard. With an open plan kitchen come living room, this holiday home has everything you could need for a trip away from home.

As you enter the home, you walk into a large living room complete with a smart TV with Freeview and Netflix available, so after a long day at the beach you can come home and put your feet up. The home has Wi-Fi access throughout so you can stay connected whilst sneaking away from city life. Complete with a fully equipped modern kitchen you can enjoy a lazy morning with the luxury of having breakfast as and when you choose it. The living space has double patio doors opening onto your own private garden, so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun.

On the first floor there is a large bedroom with an ensuite, complete with a walk-in shower. After a long, action-packed day exploring you’ll be delighted to crash into the very comfortable king-sized bed. The owners of the property have made sure everything in this cottage has been finished to the highest standard, so you can ensure the most comfortable stay whilst visiting the gorgeous village of Alnmouth.

There is even a private, free parking space outside of the property, which is very rare in this tourist hotspot.

Whilst South Stable is a private cottage, it shares a plot with its sister cottages. If you’re struggling to book dates take a look at the identical twin cottage Garden Stable, you can find this on the hosts listed properties. Or if you’re staying for a wedding or with a larger group then you may be interested in booking more than one property, take a look at the larger sister properties Spence Lodge and Pope Lodge. The perfect way to go on holiday with a larger group whilst still having the privacy of your own cottage. The properties share a courtyard and driveway, but each have their own private garden at the back.

South Stable is located in the centre of the charming coastal village of Alnmouth. Only four miles from Alnwick, this part of Northumberland is my personal favourite, recognised as Northumberland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore miles of golden sandy beaches and a varied array of wildlife, you’ll struggle to believe you’re in the UK!

Within walking distance from South Stable you’ll find a large selection of quirky independent shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants as well as many spots to grab an ice cream.

Close to the medieval market town of Alnwick, with cobbled streets and rich in character and charm, there are plenty of things to see during your visit. Alnwick hosts some of the country’s top attractions including Alnwick castle, which was one of the locations for the Harry Potter film franchise. Or head to Alnwick gardens and dine at the world’s largest treehouse restaurant!

There are several incredible castles in the area. From Warkworth to Bamburgh, to Dunstanburgh and Lindisfarne on the Holy Island, you’ll have plenty of rich history to discover. If you’re a fan of golfing, you can visit the oldest 9-hole link course in England at Alnmouth Links golf course or head to Foxton golf course which is just a five-minute drive to the North.

My focus is making sure you have the most comfortable and hassle-free trip while exploring a new corner of the UK.

I’m based in Glasgow but all the properties I manage have brilliant local teams who are always available to help should you need it. I’m a very stereotypical Scot, I love the outdoors whether that be hiking, climbing, swimming, or sailing and unfortunately in all-weather conditions! I can usually be found exploring somewhere new with my dog Finlay who comes everywhere with me.
