We are a British painter and cellist who live with our 4 year old son, Louis, adopted from Mali in 2011, and two cats in part of a tumbledown hamlet at the foot of the Mont Ventoux. I play regularly in Paris and in the UK and Julian has become renowned for his painting a day project ‘Postcard from Provence’. I am also the author of a memoir ‘Cherries from Chauvet’s Orchard’ which was shortlisted for the Guardian women’s memoir competition in 2014. We run painting workshops from a restored priory and from our house and I teach the cello, specializing in helping cellists overcome tension problems. We have traveled extensively, for pleasure and for work and stayed in the most basic tent to the most extravagant hotels. We are passionate about design and beauty and we aim for simple quality. We know the area - from it’s little scented paths that to its world class wine - very well as we have lived here and Julian has painted here for fifteen years, so we will happily give you tips on what to see. We look forward to welcoming you. We are also interested in doing exchanges.
