The only sound you will hear at dawn are the birds singing.

Free parking on street from 6 pm to 9 am. During the day you pay 170 ISK (1 dollar 66 cents / 1 Euro 40 cents) for the hour. On week ends - you pay for parking only between 10 am and 16 pm on Saturday (shopping hours).
Anything you care to do in Reykjavík is about 2-5 minutes away: The harbour with its fancy bars and selection of whale watching trips, the amazing Harpa concert hall; the vibrant artistic scene, prestigious museums and art galleries in the neighbourhood, the Reykjavík Pond and City Hall; the lively centre with restaurants, cafés and bars and Laugavegur the main street for shopping.
An open door thermal swimming pool is within 7 minutes walking distance, open until 21 pm where you can enjoy a good swim and/or relax in hot pots and the wonderful sauna. A gourmet food shop is close by and the National Museum, National Library and University of Iceland are about 5 minutes away. It takes about 10-15 minutes to the promenade by the seaside leading to the geothermal beach at Nauthólsvík where you can go sea swimming.
This superb studio is located opposite a lovely park (Landakotstún) where the Catholic Cathedral is and with a view to the northern lights at night and the mountain Esja, where thousands of hikers promenade to the top every year. Despite being just 2 minutes away from the heart of the city with the famous night life, this street is peaceful at night. There is free parking space outside.
TRANSFER TO AND FROM AIRPORT
It is good to know that the FLYBUS from Keflavik airport to Reykjavík city centre departs 40 minutes after each flight. If you are arriving late at night or your flight is delayed, don't worry, there will be a Flybus waiting for you. Price ISK 1995 and trip to Reykjavik city centre (BSI terminal) takes 45 minutes. You can walk to Havallagata from BSI terminal (1,6 kilometer or 1 mile) if your luggage is not too heavy. You can also take a taxi from BSI terminal to Havallagata - we are informed that the price to Havallagata from BSI is ISK 1300 in the daytime and approx. ISK 1500 at night.
Iceland has one of the purest natures in the world.
