Entertainment & Activities

Been here twice.. both times amazing.. hire a boat up to 10 people I believe. Staff really friendly. Chose between 30min - 1hour. A really nice romantic cruise down the river or just a great day with the kids with a pub opposite for after.. you are a captain of your ship for an hour! And you csn take snacks with you. cost is very good with a deposit system than is returned. Parking however is not the best .. there is a car park but on weekends can get very busy..

Lee Valley White Water Centre was host to the London 2012 Olympic Games and you can now experience a range of activities at this venue. Rafting the Olympic course is a must for anyone ticking things of their bucket list! You'll get several runs down the course. We progressively up the fear factor each time and by your final run you’ll be surfing, high siding, spinning and nose dunking with the very best! You can also choose from our range of other white water activities and a choice of canoeing and kayaking sessions, from family paddling on our lake to mastering our two white water courses.

Parks & Nature

The Lee Valley Regional Park extends some 25 miles down the valley of the River Lea (or Lee?), from Ware in the north deep into London as far as the Thames in the south, straddling the borders of Hertfordshire and Essex. The gravel beds of the valley were left behind by retreating ice at the end of the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago. There has been massive extraction since the 1920s and this has created a huge complex of lakes and marshes in the northern part of the park, while in the south there are a number of large water supply reservoirs. Together these provide an area of open water to rival even the Norfolk Broads.
