You can drive or hike to the top of Mount Doug and walk along the beach. Wonderful year round but the trees light up with electric green moss in the winter time.

Park your car at Clover Point and walk the long way downtown around Dallas Road past Ogden Point breakwater and the cruise ship docks. You can take in Fisherman's Wharf which is a bit touristy but there are working fishing boats there as well.
