Walking distance from the town centre or take a car to the car park at the base of Scotty hill. (Pay and display). A few routes take you to the top of Scolty hill, otherwise you can take the walking routes around the base or walk over to 'Shooting Greens' and have lunch or coffee at the Potarch hotel which has newly reopened. If you don't feel like walking back, just walk out to the North Deeside road and jump on the bus back.

You can put your canoe or Sups on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. It also has a conference centre. A coffee shop is open in summer. You must be a member but can join on a Monday evening for around £40 for the year. Showers and toilets provided. Set amidst the hills in beautiful surroundings. A safe place to practice for all budding triathletes or just go and take in a peaceful swim!

Getting Around
Stagecoach run a bus every 20 mins by day or hourly at night from the train station in Aberdeen along Deeside to Banchory and further west to Braemar. The bus numbers are 201, 202, 203. The nearest bus stop is half a mile away. Only suitable without luggage.
