It is famous for a wife bravely saving her husband during the Civil War, by drugging the Roundhead soldiers looking for him. As well as having been "Wolf Hall" in the TV series.

The Four Shire Stone (Three Farthing Stone), The Rollright Stones (Barrow Downs) and Broadway Tower (Amon Hen) are all only a few miles from Moreton
