Parks & Nature
Snorkeling area that is the BEST! This is approximately 6 miles from our home. The Historical Park is just after the beach access for snorkeling. (two-step) There will be a guard shack. There is a tour called the "Place of Refuge" within the park. Remember, the guard shack does not tell you that there is a wonderful beach behind the place of refuge and a historical beach trail that leads to Hookena beach.

Kealakekua Bay
We believe this is the BEST place to snorkel besides Kealakekua Bay. This is approximately 5 miles from the house. The underwater world is like a giant aquarium and you being inside it. There is a shallow beginning area, then for advanced snorkelers, the two steps that take you into the water in a deeper area. I can personally take you there to give you some safety tips or a beginner snorkel lesson. This is included with your reservation. It would be my pleasure.

78-6772 Makenawai StI highly recommend an early morning kayak outing with thiscompany. The owner sits at the bottom of Napoopoo road and guide you to the launch. It's easier as you are right on the water versus placing a kayak on your car which other companies chargeby the hour. usually a single is $40 and a double is $60.
