This famous, steep "railway" will get you to the top of Fløyen in an instant. I recommend walking back down, a 30-40minute walk in mother nature, and you are back down to our apartment or to the city.

Beautiful Nordnes is worth a couple of hours of strolling. Small, pittoresque houses, beautiful parks and small cafés makes Nordnes one of my favourite areas in Bergen.

This place is a time machine, and upon entering you are taken back to "Old Bergen", where time seems to have stood still since the 1800s! Highly recommended.

For great tapas, Escalón is Bergen's favourite destination. I recommend simply asking the waiter for the chef's top picks, and wait for the magic to unfold.

Incredibly cosy describes this small book-café well. Every cake you get here is hand-made, the coffee tastes great and the chess boards usually have all the pieces intact. A rainy day favourite!

The fish market, among the most famous sights in the city. Norway's biggest outdoor food market!
Beware though, the prices are ridiculous. A proper tourist trap!

Skostredet is the street to go to for vibrant bars and cafés, for example a beer at "Roll & Rock", a bar with the interior or a 1950s american diner.
Warning! Incredibly high hipster factor!
