Iconic Cornish harbour village - don't try to park in the town its impossible -instead catch the reasonably priced train from the park and ride at Lelant - it's a very picturesque train journey about 15 minutes and you will arrive stress free in the heart of StIves where you can visit the Tate Gallery ( overwhelming building and views slightly underwhelming art) Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Leach Pottery

Our favourite places!
Our local inn The Turnpike does good food as does the nearby Angarrack Inn in Angarrack.
The best route into StIves is via the park and ride from Lelant- it's a lovely short railway journey that takes you stress free into the heart of StIves.
If you want a quieter version of StIves try Porthleven a working traditional Cornish fishing village with great restaurants and pretty to walk around at day or night go to Porthleven about 25 minutes drive away. Eat at Amelies, Sea Mist or Rick Steins or great pub food at the Ship Inn.
If you want scenery and wild Cornwall take the back road from StIves via Zennor to Sennen Cove and then Porthcurnow for amazing views. Call in at Penberth Cove where Poldark was filmed and drop in on Mousehole on route for Penzance. Best place to eat or afternoon tea Penzance is Tremenheere sculpture gardens.
