This is a fantastic walk up to the top of a Pa Site from Bryants Beach Road (drive to the end and look for the signposted carpark) or start at the other side of the hill from the carpark just before the Ohiwa Beach Camp Ground (there are glow-worms accessible from this side) You can walk right over the top and back along the beach to do a full loop.
Onekawa Te Mawhai Regional Park

Sightseeing
Drive to Bryants Beach and take the hiking track up to the top of the hill to view the surrounding esturies and across to Ohope, Whale Island and White Island. The view is worth the effort to get there.

Waioeka River
Historical Wakoeka Bridge there is a short walk to view the bridge and river.
Take Ohiwa Beach Road and check out Bryants Beach then drive over the hill on Ohiwa Harbour Road on to Ohiwa Beach Road and the Ohiwa Campground (there is a walking track near here if your keen) then drive back to Reeves Road and on to the Ohiwa Loop Road and then Ruatuna Road back onto State Highway 2. Great harbour views.
