The opportunities for recreation and entertainment in Leelanau County are endless and I've linked a few of my favorite spots below. Whether it's day trip to Leland, Fishtown, and Good Harbor Beach to the West, Traverse City to the South, or hanging out in the beautiful village of Suttons Bay, you won't be disappointed! The Suttons Bay Marina has a nice beach with picnic tables and play structures for the kids. It is within walking distance from town and food.

Vans Beach is located in the village of Leland and the infamous Fishtown. It has beautiful sand with local amenities nearby. Be sure to enjoy a Village Cheese Shanty sandwich!

Good Harbor Bay Beach and Sleeping Bear Dunes is a fantastic way to spend a sunny day! The beach is fantastic and the dune climb is always a winner for those who are able. Pack for a day trip and plan to make a stop in Fishtown in Leland.

Wren and Martha's Table are located in Suttons Bay. It's hard to be disappointed anywhere you go in Leelanau County and I've linked a few of my favorite spots for dining, recreation and more below. Also, remember when you're Up North casual, vacation dress is appropriate for all of these venues.

TART-owned Leelanau Trail connects Traverse City and
Suttons Bay. The paved route takes users through rolling
hills, forests, orchards and meadows and past streams,
lakes and ponds, and is the perfect setting for recreation,
transportation and environmental education.
There are three trailheads: Cherry Bend Road, Fouch Road
and 4th Street in Suttons Bay.
