Tombland in Norwich was originally an Anglo-Saxon market place. Today its a pretty area of Norwich encompassing the 11th century Norwich Cathedral and Norwich School which are well worth visiting. Erpingham Gate dates to the 15th century and there are a number of other interesting parts to view. Edith Cavell, a local nurse who was executed by the Nazis is buried here. Take a walk through the Cathedral grounds to the river where you'll come across Pulls Ferry, a delightful 15th watergate.
