Our favourite local cafes

There are SO many good cafes and restaurants in St Kilda. Here are just a couple of our favourites. For more recommendations, Broadsheet is very reliable. If it makes it there, it's worth going to; https://www.broadsheet.com.au/melbourne/guides/best-restaurants-st-kilda
If you are wanting a very local experience, try this place! It's a world away from the touristy cafes on the beach front. It's a lot more than good bread. Lovely spot for brunch or a light light lunch or bring an appetite for breakfast and enjoy all you can eat toast :) Super cute and quirky fit out, with toasters at every table.

This is the closest good cafe to our house and has some of the best coffee in Melbourne. And that's saying a lot! Really quirky fit out themed around a doctor's surgery! Weird but true, and it really works. You've got to try it. Fantastic breakfasts.

Our favourite St Kilda restaurants

This place is a well know institution. You can't really come to St. Kilda without at least having a drink here. Downstairs is casual / cafe dining and upstairs is more formal and will definitely require making a reservation. Lovely spot for a pre dinner drink while watching the sun set.

Super hip. Super fun. Worth the $$$ for a really interesting dinner you won't forget. It's all about share plates here, all hailing from Asia - bit of Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
