Local Dinner Eats within 5KM Radius
Here are some eating places i frequent when i am within the city. For some of you first timer to Malaysia, do not worry if some of the places looks a little run down, they serve tasty foods that majority of Malaysians and travelers accept. You just have to experience it yourself, after all, what's the point of traveling when you're not experiencing foods and stuffs new to you, right?
The Asian way, sitting and eating at a hawker stall at the sidewalks. You don't get a lot of it around these days. Why do i recommend this place?..... hmmmm... lets see, for me it's the good food, for you would probably be the experience of eating at the road side savoring one of the best Claypot Chicken Rice within Chinatown. I wouldn't say it's the best in the whole of Malaysia but i would still say it's one among them. This shouldn't be to hard to spot, google map should have its location

Restaurant Kim Lian Kee
92 Jalan Hang LekirTo travelers or those that have not eaten at this stall before, this is a stall you'll find difficult to spot within Petaling Street (Chinatown). They have neither brand name nor a huge signage of themselves. You'll just have to ask around when you are within Petaling Street. They serve only grill fish portuguese style and they've got lots of regulars frequenting them and i am one of them. I can give you some hint to work on and you can also use it to ask the people in Petaling Street to point you to the right direction. It is beside Hong Leong Bank, very near Air Mata Kucing, very close to the original Kim Lian Kee stall. When you're there, make sure to try the grill ray fish, a local favourite and remember to tell them not to put too much chilly if you are not good with spicy.

Limapulo serves Peranakan food. I myself am Peranakan, a sub ethnic group or you may say Baba and Nyonya and I'd recommend you to try Peranakan. The foods are chinese but cooked in a unique taste unlike the traditional chinese dishes you get out there. You don't get to taste this anywhere in the world except a few places in a few asian countries with the same ethnic group. Alternatively you can do Peranakan in Melaka but if you are not making a trip there, Limapulo is good enough.
